CASA BACARDI LAUNCHES AT DEQ LOUNGE
TO OFFER MOST UNIQUE MOJITO EXPERIENCE

Organic mint garden grown on-site for local ‘garden to glass’ freshness
Toronto (May 24, 2012) – Today marks the official opening of CASA BACARDI at DEQ Lounge – a new outdoor oasis in the heart of the city. CASA BACARDI will feature a signature BACARDI® mojito and exotic cocktail bar, using garden-fresh ingredients in every glass.
As part of the CASA BACARDI experience, the patio at DEQ Lounge will be home to a fresh, organic mint garden to be used along with other key ingredients to create the perfect mojito. Working with a local, organic farmer, CASA BACARDI will entice guests with delightful aromatics and ‘garden to glass’ freshness in every cocktail.

The DEQ patio represents the ideal space, combining the new garden and customized bar area with the vibe of a resident DJ and the flare of BACARDI rum’s Cuban heritage.”
Renowned cocktail consultant and BACARDI mixologist Trevor Burnett has trained all bar staff to ensure the craft of creating the perfect mojito, caipirissima or Papa Doble is translated in every customized drink, while guests enjoy the musical stylings of resident DJ BelloSound. The patio, which features an open-air fire pit, will be embellished with nostalgic BACARDI crates and barrels and murals of the garden by a local artist. And no summer patio experience would be complete without a custom-created menu — DEQ guests will enjoy food selections that will pair perfectly with the cocktail list.
Bustle Clothing, founded by Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow, have custom-designed staff uniforms that will be unveiled at the launch event. CASA BACARDI at DEQ will be open late May to September (weather permitting) welcoming both hotel guests and the general public (legal drinking age plus).
