Dr Stuart Lutton of Ivy Dental Care read last week’s reports of a 42% gap between the cost of dentistry in Edinburgh and Glasgow with some incredulity. “I wondered where WhatClinic.com had obtained their figures from to be honest! It certainly didn’t reflect my experiences and understanding. I have made it my aim since practising in Edinburgh to offer the best quality dentistry at an affordable rate.”
Stuart continued, “Some of the discrepancies quoted in the recent news piece were huge but open to interpretation. For instance, we can offer an implant and crown for £1400 – I would be surprised if any practice in Glasgow were cheaper at all, let alone by over 40%. We also offer All-on-4 same day implants for £10,990 including a titanium reinforced bridge – that makes us one of the most competitive in the whole of the UK.”
Ivy Dental Care in Dalkeith Road is a long-established practice which offers both NHS and Private care. Stuart is the principal at Ivy Dental and has increased the number of private treatments available such as dental implants, same day teeth, six month smiles and so on. A recent radio campaign positioned Ivy Dental as the home of affordable dental implants.
“I wonder whether the figures have been taken out of context or perhaps WhatClinic.com doesn’t offer a representative sample of both Edinburgh and Glasgow dentists? The survey was based upon 50 Glasgow and 30 Edinburgh dentists – perhaps a more detailed survey would illustrate a different result?”
