Showcase Their 2012 Collections

London College of Fashion is proud to present the MA Graduate Season 2012. In a week of celebrations the MA season will showcase up and coming fashion stars from over 10 courses including Fashion Design, Footwear, Artefact and Accessories.
Commencing the showcase will be the MA Exhibition at Victoria House Basement in Central London, which following an exclusive Private View on 31st January will be open to the public on Wednesday 1 February 2012. Featuring a live photoshoot and a promenade of work by graduates from MA Costume for Performance the evening will also include a prize giving for this year’s most promising students.
The exhibition will showcase over 200 MA level students, from stunning photography to 3D digital installations, exquisite handbags to quirky footwear – this is the place to see some of the most creative and innovative work by graduates from London College of Fashion, the UK’s leading specialist fashion College.
Taking over the beautiful surroundings of the Raphael Gallery at the V&A on Thursday 2 February 2012 will be this years’ crop of menswear and womenswear designers all vying for Collection of the Year womenswear and menswear respectively. This year the awards will be hosted by TV and radio personality Lauren Laverne and presented by young British designer Christopher Raeburn, recent winner of the British Fashion Council’s award for best ‘Emerging Talent – Menswear.’ Best known for his innovative and directional ethically-aware collections, Christopher is currently being supported by London College of Fashion’s pioneering business incubator the Centre for Fashion Enterprise.
New for 2012 – London College of Fashion has partnered with award winning website NOT JUST A LABEL – the world’s leading designer platform for showcasing and nurturing today’s pioneers in contemporary fashion – to stream the catwalk show LIVE from the V&A enabling thousands from across the world to view the show online as it happens. NOT JUST A LABEL have helped propel a huge number of LCF MA graduates including Úna Burke, Hasan Hejazi and Jennifer Morris to success.
