For Women With High FSH

Many women are told that pregnancy is unlikely or even impossible because of a condition known as high FSH. FSH stands for follicle-stimulating hormone; a hormone that is produced by the pituitary gland and which stimulates the ovaries. This stimulation causes a follicle to develop each month, prompting normal ovulation.
As women age, their egg count is steadily reduced, and it is more difficult to trigger the ovaries to ovulate. The body compensates by increasing the production of FSH in order to force ovulation to occur, which can lead to immature eggs being released.
