Regulation Debate To Be
First Topic In Babtac
Corporate Task Force
Event Programme
     09 Nov 12

BABTAC (The British Association of Beauty and Cosmetology) are inviting industry professionals to the first of a new bi-monthly programme of debates, presentations and panel discussions

*This taskforce event is only available to members of the beauty industry or those directly involved with the industry; BABTAC reserves the right to refuse places to applicants we feel are not suitable for the event.

In partnership with one of their founder corporate members, 4Leisure Recruitment, BABTAC is delighted to be holding their first ever ‘Corporate Task Force’ event on the topic of self regulation on Wednesday 21st November in Covent Garden, London.

The BABTAC council would like to see the introduction of voluntary regulation for the beauty industry. The introduction of regulation, either voluntary or compulsory, would require all therapists to have undergone an approved training route; this would improve the standard of treatments delivered in salons, providing better value for money for clients and help to safeguard the public. Many beauty therapists have already undergone extensive training and regulation would deliver the recognition that these individuals need in a profession that deserves to have a sound reputation.

BABTAC would like to invite their members and non-members who are involved in the beauty industry to come along and have their say on Wednesday 21st November at: 22 Long Acre, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9LY

The conference will allow delegates to outline their thoughts on the topic and provide an opportunity to positively influence our industry.  BABTAC believe that collective thoughts from industry professionals and suppliers can help move this plan of action forward. The Corporate Task Force events will be a platform for delegates to have their say on the industry issues that matter.

For BABTAC corporate members, there is no charge to attend this exclusive event. BABTAC members can attend at £25 per space and non-members are charged at £50 per space* with lunch included. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Registration is at 10am for a 10.30am start and aim to finish at 12.30pm, with lunch to follow. The January 2013 BABTAC Corporate Task Force event will be tackling the issues around laser treatments. The venue and date will be announced shortly.
