Former 100m sprinter kicks off Nottingham celebration
on the final day of National School Sport Week 2012

Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2012 – Britain’s biggest school sport event – is set to arrive in Nottingham on Friday, 29th June when 1300 pupils from Ellis Guilford School & Sports College will take part in a day of Olympic and Paralympic sport with Olympic gold medallist Jason Gardener.

The London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay will also be stopping at Ellis Guilford School on its journey through the East Midlands, to officially open the day of National School Sport Week activity and help the community of Nottingham celebrate to arrival of the Flame.

Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week (25 – 29 June), run in partnership with Youth Sport Trust, is part of the London 2012 Get Set+ education programme, supplying schools, college and local authority education providers with resources, ideas and opportunities to help them make the most of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
